An American classic, this sloppy joe recipe keeps the simple preparation with a huge boost to flavor.

Ingredients
- 2.0 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, or any vinegar
- 1.0 bacon, strip, the smokier the better
- 0.25 cup brown sugar,
- 4.0 buns,
- 2.0 cup chicken stock,
- 1.0 garlic cloves,
- 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder,
- 1.0 pound ground beef,
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder,
- 0.25 onions,
- pepper, a few grinds
- 1.0 teaspoon salt,
- 2.0 ounce tomato paste,
- 1.0 teaspoon worcestershire,
Directions

Dice the bacon fine and render out in a pan on low. Add the beef and cook on medium high until the beef has browned in one side and is mostly cooked through.

Add onions diced fine and stir in. Add the garlic clove, crushed and cook briefly.

Add remaining ingredients aside from buns, adjusting sugar, vinegar, and salt to balance taste.

Cook on medium until thickened to a chili consistency. The beef should be tender and hold together well.

Serve on warm buns.
