A TV dinner elevated. Salsbury steak is a part of many people's childhoods, now brought to life and topped with a caramelized onion brown sauce.

Mix the meat, egg, bread crumbs, 1 tsp salt, and a few grinds of black pepper in a stand mixer, or with hands very well.

Put the onion, tomato paste, stock, Worcestershire, and thyme in a sauce pan and simmer.

Shape the beef patties into 1/4lb "steaks". Sear well in the skillet until a good crust forms. Add the gravy and simmer.

Serve with one "steak" per person covered with some gravy. Goes well with mashed potatoes and peas.
